Compare the2025 McLaren 750SVS 2024 Aston Martin Vantage

The McLaren 750S has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Vantage doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the 750S and the Vantage have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, front and rear parking sensors and available around view monitors.

McLaren pays for scheduled maintenance on the 750S for 3 years and unlimited miles. McLaren will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Vantage.

The 750S’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 237 more horsepower (740 vs. 503) and 85 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 505) than the Vantage’s standard 4.0 turbo V8. The 750S’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 213 more horsepower (740 vs. 527) and 85 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 505) than the Vantage F1’s standard 4.0 turbo V8. The 750S’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 50 more horsepower (740 vs. 690) and 48 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 542) than the Vantage’s optional 5.2 turbo V12.

As tested in Car and Driver the McLaren 750S is faster than the Aston Martin Vantage:

The 750S has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Vantage doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The 750S offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Vantage doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

The 750S’ launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Vantage doesn’t offer launch control.

The 750S has standard air brakes, which adjust the Spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The Vantage doesn’t offer air brakes.

The 750S stops much shorter than the Vantage:

For better traction and acceleration, the 750S has larger rear tires than the Vantage (305/30R20 vs. 295/35R20).

The 750S’ 245/35R19 front and 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Vantage’s standard 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

The 750S has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Vantage doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The 750S offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Aston Martin doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Vantage.

The 750S handles at 1.13 G’s, while the Vantage Coupe pulls only .99 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The 750S executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.5 seconds quicker than the Vantage Coupe (22.5 seconds @ .97 average G’s vs. 24 seconds @ .83 average G’s).

The McLaren 750S may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 400 to 900 pounds less than the Aston Martin Vantage.

The 750S is 10.2 inches shorter in height than the Vantage, making the 750S much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The 750S’ standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Vantage doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The 750S has a larger trunk than the Vantage Coupe (12.7 vs. 12.2 cubic feet).

With its coupe body style and remote trunk release lockout, the 750S offers cargo security. The Vantage’s non-lockable remote release defeats cargo security.

A standard locking center console keeps your small valuables safer in the 750S. The Vantage doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The 750S’ front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Vantage’s power windows’ switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.
