Safety
Warranty
McLaren pays for scheduled maintenance on the 750S for 3 years and unlimited miles. McLaren will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Valhalla.
Fuel Economy and Range
In heavy traffic or at stoplights the 750S’ engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Valhalla doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.
The 750S has 1.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the Valhalla (19 vs. 17.2 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
The 750S has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.
Brakes and Stopping
The 750S has standard air brakes, which adjust the Spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The Valhalla doesn’t offer air brakes.
Suspension and Handling
The 750S has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Valhalla doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.
The 750S offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Aston Martin doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Valhalla.
The 750S has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
Chassis
The 750S is 7 inches shorter than the Valhalla, making the 750S easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
The 750S’ standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.
Ergonomics
The 750S’ rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Valhalla’s
The 750S has a standard center folding armrest for the driver and front passenger. A center armrest helps combat driver fatigue. The Valhalla doesn’t offer a front seat center armrest.
Model Availability
The McLaren 750S comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Aston Martin Valhalla isn’t available as a convertible.
